I’ve been making music since a young age and have played in many groups, ensembles and bands as a percussionist, drummer, violinist, keyboard player & vocalist. I first learned violin and piano, taught myself percussion and studied music at Durham University. After a couple of years gigging around London I moved to Poland to study intensively for three years with contemporary classical percussion guru Stanisław Skoczynski at the Chopin Academy in Warsaw. This was a life changing experience which gave me the time and space to fully discover the endless sound work of percussion.
I’ve been fortunate to work with some great artists in lots of different scenarios, playing many different kinds of music including cutting edge contemporary classical (Noszferatu, Ixion); singer-songwriters (Aqualung, Gwyneth Herbert, Eska, Regina Spektor, Duke Special; jazz (Finn Peters, Clown Revisited); folk (Bellowhead)…
I’ve played with symphony orchestras, industrial techno bands and many things in between. I never wanted to do anything else and I feel blessed to have had such an interesting and varied career.
More coming soon!
